The way of conducting the Symposium

The tradition of the Wroclaw Symposium on Questioned Document Examination, interrupted only by the pandemic, is presentations by eminent speakers, dynamic discussions between participants and presentations during the sessions, as well as fruitful behind-the-scenes conversations and exchange of experiences during coffee brakes organized for participants.

We would like to maintain this tradition and invite you in 2024 to come to Wrocław and take part in our two-day symposium June, 6-7 at the University of Wrocław.

The organizational assumption is stationary sessions for participants and speakers.

However, in order not to deprive you of very valuable presentations by speakers from remote locations who, due to the time and costs necessary to participate in the conference on-site, could not reach us, we will connect with these speakers remotely (on-line).

The symposium will be held in the Hall 2D in building D of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics (Uniwersytecka street 7-10) at the University of Wrocław in Wrocław.

The conference hall has about 200 seats in an amphitheater layout that is comfortable for participants. We encourage you to register now for the Symposium, which is limited by the above number of places.

Expected guests

Our Symposium (as in the previous years) will be attended by experts on document examination from Austria, Australia, Brasil, Belarus, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, India, Lithuania, Latvia, Lebanon, Malta, Netherlands, Slovakia, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, USA and many Polish guests representing major universities and non-academic centers, such as police forensic laboratories, Institute of Forensic Research in Kraków as well as independent experts. They will be joined by representatives of areas related to forensic science – especially penal procedure, criminology, psychology, psychiatry, forensic physics, IT, and forensic chemistry.

Long tradition

The Symposium is one of the most important scientific events in Europe devoted to this subject area since 1983 taking place every 2 years at the University of Wroclaw.
